You wash the sink afterwards? Cadaan propaganda ha dhagaysan, a sink is meant to be washed anyway.
Everything dies during high heat cooking. You don’t need to wash chicken it’s already washed when it gets killed. Also it’s very hard to remove that type of bacteria from sink it goes everywhere who has time to do multiple stages kf disinfection everyday using so many cleaning products abd specific brushes etc

I wash mine with lemons/limes and cold water, then marinate it for 4-12 hours. Usually clean the whole kitchen with dettol after prepping.
DETTOL you use a highly carcinogenic bleach in something which you will consume. Walal that’s Bigger problem than salmonella please stop doing that ASAP

This year I’ve seen a lot of people—mostly Black folks, saying you have to wash your chicken before cooking, usually with vinegar and lemon. Some even shame other cultures for not doing it, which I find kind of odd.

Honestly, in my house we don’t wash it. We just cook it first and then roast it after, so I never really got the point of washing it beforehand.

I’m curious though—do other Somali households wash their chicken before cooking? Or do most people just cook it straight like we do?
Why wash it if bacteria die once they are heated to certain point. I don't wash but I smell my chick before eating or cooking it. If it smell like fart better dart
