Who is Al shabab.
Al-Shabab are extremist NGOs back up by Ethiopia, Ertrea, and Somaliland.
Kenya they have nothing to do with.

Ethiopia has one goal in Somalia and that is permanent chaos. Why is it fighting Alshabab? Because the US and EU are paying them to do it. They are achieving their goals and those of their western donors who are concerned about terror. Their soldiers get paid, they get new military tech and Somalia is remains chaotic. It is a fairly simple set up.
I agree. The get paid to keep Somalia the way it is. What's better than being paid to eliminate any future threats? its a win win for them.

Sooner or later you will see Puntland and Somaliland will face war againest each other. Ethiopia are cancer you better be careful don't think they are your walal, they pretend.
This what Ethiopia believe and its true: "If Somalia become peaceful and government functions well then Somalia will host Oromo liberation army to over throw Wayanas, so to happen that, Ethiopia will do everything posible to destroy Somalia no matter what. Meesha game baa kasocdo. Puntland and Somaliland waxba kama warqaban their IQ = 40. Same as baboons.

Farmaajo is our hero, what a wadani putting his country first

Compare this to Abdiweli Prozac making hajj to Mama Ethiopia every week

They don't think like that though. They have a more primitively mindset

Sxb the sooner Somalia stands on it's feet, the sooner we can hold referendum on Somaliland. Looks like the injera party is over, good on him for taking a stand especially for not going to the london conference.

Relax folks, all I'm saying is the cheese man needs to crawl before he walks. He first needs to work in securing Mogadishu and its environs before he can call for the "supervision" of Ethiopian troops. He shouldn't bite off more than he can chew or else the Ethiopians will truly make things harder for him.

Having a strong and sovereign Somalia will be a grave threat to Somaliland and anyone who denies that is either ignorant or a liar. Until the current predicament is settled, don't expect me to indirectly wish foolishly for my own future demise in the off-chance a strong Somali state reemerges. It's that simple really.

Right, so what you're saying is you want Somalia to remain in a weak and chaotic state :cosbyhmm:

Sxb don't be naive. Their will be no referendum if it reaches that point. This isn't some civilized European state but Somalia we are talking about here. The day Somalia has enough power to stand own its own feet removes the possibility of any peaceful solution. It would just embolden them to act with force to bring SL under subjugation. If they want our goodwill they would have agreed to a 5 to 10 year UN guaranteed referendum down the line where we would work with them currently to bring back Somali sovereignty.

Somalia couldn't defeat us with the "most powerful military in subsaharan africa". Somaliland can easily defend itself.

Nobody has an appetite for more war anyway.

Even with al shabab gone Somalia still has a lot of important issues to deal with rather than to start a war with Somaliland.

Eritrea, Djibouti, Somalia are all vassal states of Ethiopia whether they admit it or not.

Satellite states orbiting planet Ethiopia.

Having 1/3 of the "country" out of their hands is a pretty important issue. Best believe there will be a war if Somaliland doesn't bend the knee like they expect us to. Direct war isn't the only possibility that can happen but a stronger Somalia would have a higher chance of foreign governments and organisations respecting their so called sovereignty and they can isolate us through various means diplomatically and economically. Things like the Berbera deal and other foreign investment would probably not stand any chance, direct foreign aid to Hargeisa would be out of the question, they can ask foreign airlines and shipping lines not to operate in Somaliland, a ban on trade etc.

A good example of this is the Northern Turkish Republic of Cyprus that is effectively embargoed internationally through Cyprus who has lobbied successfully to the UN,EU, various International Organisations and countries. They can only manage to stay afloat due to Turkey's support, we don't have a patron so you can see why this would be even worse for us. This is what you are effectively looking at in the face of a stronger government down south. Don't be complacent sxb, no doubt they are in a weak position today so they have fewer options but when the tables turn, they won't hesitate to cripple us.

In the scenario that Somalia gains military/economic supremacy, the chances of war would still be very low. We would have China-taiwan type relationship if SL refuses to negotiate with the rest of the Somali nation. No one has appetite for war & destruction.
