Wouldn't surprised me! If Turkey says it wants to use Somalis as connon fodder, I don't see anyone saying no. They own SomaliaWhy would Somalia send troops to Burma when there is fighting against Al shabab in their backyard? doesn't make sense.
Somalia sent troops to Yemen>suggesting sending somali soldiers to a foreign country while they have terrorists in their backyard

There are no terrorists in Somaliland.
Depends on your definition of "Somaliland". Al shabab is active in eastern Sanaag. Ceelayo also serves as the Al shabab port in the
north.
Battle of Af Urur, eastern Sanaag.
On 8 June 2017, around 4:30 a.m., a force of around 150–200 militants began to attack Af Urur, held by around 150 soldiers, from three directions. The attack came as complete surprise to the local garrison, and most of the soldiers were asleep when it happened. Using a suicide car bomb, the attackers breached the base's defenses, at the area where the aforementioned new recruits were stationed. Probably aided by sleeper cells there, the attackers then entered the base, shouting "God is great". A two-hour long firefight for the base and the village ensued, during which at least 48 soldiers were killed, including base commander Captain Ahmed Muse Sangal and two other military officials.Eventually, the surviving Puntland soldiers had to retreat with 40 wounded comrades from Af Urur to nearby Armo town, whereupon the al-Shabaab fighters began to destroy and loot the base. They captured two dozen heavy machine guns, several AK-47s and much ammunition, while burning 16 military vehicles.
At the village, the insurgents killed everyone they saw, including elders, women and children. Several residents were beheaded by the militants.Overall, at least 20 civilians were killed. Soon after, the al-Shabaab forces retreated from Af Urur, taking with them their spoils, the defectors and a number of captives.Afterwards, the Puntland Security Force retook the town and base, burying the dead.
