Dhaqan celis kids are creating a union for representation

Just kiddin but I saw something interesting in tiktok

It got me thinking what if dhaqan celis could be changed something positive where kids could connect with their culture and peers? Many kids go back home and feel alienated. They don’t fit in due to being outsiders and language barrier.

Its a phenomenon I have seen in freshie kids. It takes time for them to integrate with others and what helps integration is to do it with friends. They gradually become more accustumed and finally feel like they belong.

The video got me thinking, what if these kids would expand their concept? Instead of group chats, they and we should organise groups based by different activities. A book club, chess club, football, basketball, the list is endless.

We should make young diaspora kids ( and olders) connect with their country. It does not happen while sitting at home being lonely and having no one to talk to. It takes and we human are social, we should do it in groups.

Also my solution for language barrier would be organise these kids into somali classes which would resemble typical western classes. Its time to put effort.

What are your thoughts and what would you like to add?
