Did you know that a Somali Sultan helped the first Ethiopian Emperor and the founder of the Solomonic dynasty Yekuno Amlek to gain power?

I'm not aware if there's translation for this book so I'm going to translate the important part myself:
"From the year 1270 AH (1854 AD) until he managed to seize the Abyssinian throne, with the help of the Somali Zaila force led by King Omar Walasmaale, who is from the lineage of Sheikh Yusuf Barqadle, the founder of the powerful Zaila state, the Abyssinian king boasted of this Zayla'i power when he wrote to Tahir Beybars in Egypt, mentioning to him, "I have a military force of one hundred thousand Muslim horsemen." And thus ended the rule of the Ajyubids."

So you see...
The Ethiopian empire was a somali project that ended in a no no way

I've read about a muslim force in the army of yekuno but as far as i understood it they were from the shewa sultanate not the walashama. In fact the walashama sultanate believe it or not were established at the same time as the solomonic dynasty. One small correction it's says 1270 ad.

I see, well in this book it says the Sultan umar walashama already had a great army which he used to help Yekuno gain power
Maybe the walashama dynasty was a bit older?

Yeah you're right matter of fact they were mentioned by ibn sa'id. He wrote about them and their capital. Ibn khaldun spoke of their arrival to awfat aka ifat also called jabart long before omar dunyahus. Their name sake walashama comes from a title wali asma' or governor of the asma' province. Around the 1280s the walashama defeated the shewa sultanate and conquered all the other muslim states establishing the ifat sultanate.

Somali sultan didn't help any Ethiopian emperor or dynasty. You are being intellectually dishonest. Somalis were primarily nomads who roamed around the desert in search of water and pasture during the reign of emperor yekuno. It was Ethio-semetic Muslims called malasay that helped yekuno defeat the zagwe dynasty. Somalis played no role in the establishment of the shewa or ifat sultante. The ruling elite of those two empires were Ethio-semetic Muslims. Our people need to stop with the Somalization of historical empires and sultantes.

Why would you help gaals and especially Ethiopians at that?
Very true. It was wrong for the habesha muslims to side with the Christian emperor. Yekuno threatened to invade shewa if the Muslim kingdom didn't send its elite force to help yekuno conquer the zagwe dynasty. At the time yekuno had a extremely powerful army and was capable of inflicting great damage on the neighboring Muslim kingdoms. But later the solonomic kingdom backstabbed the Muslims.

The Muslims of habesha did not live in Zeila or rule ifat, and Imam Balawi has nothing to do with the Ethio-Semitic

Bro we somalis lived and ruled from zelia not Ethio semites. We Issa and other dir were the majority and rulers.
You also seem to use the pastoralits excuse even though haraghe was mostly somali farmers. Our region had the most somali agriculturalists in Northern Somaliweyn.
Afars were even less, they were a tiny population of people who wouldn't have ruled a single Somali sub clan like us ciise let alone all that somali lands. Ethio semites didn't rule somalis at all as well. Bring up evidence or cry about it habash.

I disagree with all your points except one. Yes afar were a small minority. They were also allied with the Christian emperor against the Muslims. May Allah give victory to the Issa people because it's sad to see what's happening to them in their land. They are being displaced from the awash river and afar troops are slaughtering them. The afars wanted to gain control of the awash river so they allied with the Christian emperor to help them defeat the Isse clan.

Most Somalis are not agriculturalist. They are nomads. The only ethnic somali community that are agriculturalist are the rahaweyne clan. Issa came to Zeila around the 15th century after the fall of the Adal sultante. Why was there a huge wall in Zeila with five gates? The walls were primarily used to keep out the warring Issa and afar tribes. Show me proof Somalis built Zeila? Show me proof Somalis built the huge wall in Zeila with five gates?

Who lived there other than somalis? Somalis also built alot of walled cities like:
The walls of bardheere, the walls of mogadishu which one gate holds the name of a somali clan: the door of Mursola (murusade sub-clan) one of the gates of mogadishu.
And many much more "walls", Ethio-semetics" didn't build walls while somalis did.
The only walled city in the entire history of Ethiopia is Harar
The walls were built by a somali man nur ibn mujahid.
What's wrong with nomads? Didn't they start one of the world's most influential empires and smoke your people for 14years straight no naxriis

I know Issa musa lived in berbera and were well established in the coastal city. But there is no historical documentations showing reer Issa lived in Zeila. What was Sheikh Saylic qabil? If you can show me historical documentations that demonstrates he was he reer Issa than you are right. What does the term Zeila mean in af Somali? What was the name of the Somali sheikh that built masjid qiblatin in Zeila? The word Zeila in arabic means romanticized. Also the document you showed me only suggest the indigenous nomadic clans may have established Zeila before the arab migration. It doesn't affirm that Somalis actually established the town. The arabs arrived in Zeila shortly after hijrah. You demonstrated to me that during ibn buttutah travels he mentions that the inhabitants of zeila were black people in the 14th century. Show me any historical records showing Somalis lived in Zeila from the 7th to the 9th century. Show me mention of the world Somali or reer Issa by ancient civilizations that traded with Zeila.

Funny how you have not brought any proof to your claims but keep asking others to prove you. Somali ma tahay? Answer is your not. You have now brought arabs into the conversion even though you 1st claimed it was ethio-semites who ruled Saylac. Arabs were also nomads, now you are insinuating they were the ones who built Saylac? Kkkkk. You have easily tangled up in your own lies.

I advice nobody to give this guy time, clearly he is butthurt that the 2 greatest muslim empires in the horn were somali.

You need to work on your reading comprehension. Ethio-semeties built harar and were the ruiling class of the Adal sultanate. I never said ethio-semeties built Zeila. Ethnic somalis don't have a seafaring and coastal tradition. Only the indigenous coastal communities like reer xamar and bajuni are accustomed to seafaring. The coastal town of Zeila was established by a group of arab migrants from yemen. The Arabian peninsula has long been connected by trade to the wider world of the Red Sea and its surrounding areas. Even the Quraysh have a history of trade, commerce and seafaring. They would travel to far away lands like China and Abyssinia. Arabs are not only nomads. What does Zeila mean in af Somali? Show me proof Sheikh Zaylic hailed from the issa tribe? Show me proof reer issa built the acient mosque in Zeila. Keep deflecting and regurgitating the same garbage of me not being Somali. If people don't align with your ridiculous views than they are not Somali.
