No, the owners of somali restaurants in the UK are mostly reer SL. For some odd reason they wrote haneed on the menus and it took off, i havent seen it elsewhereno we call it hillib as well. probably puntland somalis
I need short form media e.g titkok to go, since I noticed because of the tiktokification on social media more people are aware of our cultural attire and are embracing it and tieing it to "East Africa" and "Oromo" because they know we are a voiceless group on tiktok due to the hate we recieve. At least it those type of apps go we won't see these culture vultures stealing our attire. Twitter is the only app where us Somalis can defend ourselves and culture.

Cushitic is a language group, not an identity. African is not an identity. We don’t share much with any of these peopleI don't think there's anything wrong with people wearing our attire but why do I see so many Oromos in multiple different attires? Wouldn't it make sense to pick one and run with it? Even other east africans don't do that half as much.

It’s obviously very political and exploitative on their end. Wax ma qeybsano. Not culture, language or land. You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
