Do people not fast anymore?

Not fasting this week so I went to Tims to get a ice cap and I saw a bunch of adeers talking with their coffees. Granted it’s not as many adeers there as before Ramadan but they can’t all be diabetics lmao.

Also have a few Muslim coworkers who I haven’t seen fast once since the start of Ramadan. Haven’t asked why since I didn’t want to pry but again, everyone cannot be diabetics.

What’s going on? Fasting this time of year is literally easy mode too, why are so many Muslims not doing it? Has anyone else noticed this?
I don't want to point fingers, but only three of my friends are fasting. and the rest haven't fasted 1 day

Celebrating kalshaale😂
Celebrating goojacade.

The only people that I know that are not fasting have stomach related issues like GERD, where they are required to take medicine with food and eat small amounts consistently throughout the day to prevent vomiting episodes.

Tbh I shouldn't have shared my qabiil in the first place.
Whenever people find out about reer Qabiil, they vehemently obsess over it. Legitimate arguments are impossible because someone will always say, 'You're only saying that because you belong to that XYZ Qabiil.' This site is full of ignorant Somalis who think Qabiil is the sixth pillar of Islam. @Yami Relax dont fall for the Fitnah

Too many people are crashing out. Whats the point of fasting if you’re gonna call someone names. Its not must when you get mad you have to crash out. You can always log off if you can’t control your emotions. Its Ramadan some of you ought to not curse in this month

Tbh it's interesting how pro-qabiil this place is compared to the sub reddit, which is vehemently anti-qabiil, and in real life.

Because the subreddit bans that behaviour. If only you saw R/Somalia prior to MOU. 2021-22 was wild. Now its too famous. People can’t say their opinion. Ajnabis will also downvote your opinion

Because sites like tiktok have general average population, reddit has random neeks, twitter has racists, and forums have terminally online people who need to log off. If you map that onto somali population i think it matches up pretty well
Tiktok is regular somali people, reddit is kids trying to find somali identity, twitter has qabyaalad/open xenophobia and this forum has people who internalised every argument against islaam and either has severe doubts or gave up for mcdonalds

Soberingly accurate summation.
