Don't talk ill of other people's features that Allah has given them, not all Somalis have typical almond eye shapes, I've seen hooded almost monolid eye shapes within our community usually amongst men, and women tend to have the larger rounded eye Habesha look.

We look similar but not the same. As a Somali, it’s very easy to detect when someone is Eri or Ethiopian but every now and then, you see some who look very Somali and you see Somalis that look very Eri/Ethio.

yeah they can't escape from being mistaken for a somali. I wonder how they feel about it. Some Eritreans are with being mistaken for a Somali but a lot feel some type of way.

When they supposedly say "Eritreans don't look like somalis" they don't say it with Sincerity they say it to make Eritreans superior and Somalis as inferior. @EritreanPost_ should know what I mean especially living in London. A lot of ajanabis like to put Eritreans in a pedestal and put Somalis down.

It's both online and offline. It's hard to believe but I kind of experienced it in real life. And from what i seen is always a certain demographic in the uk. Even now timojileec girls are joining in putting Eritreans up and putting Somalis down. It's weird considering we look so similar and they know it.

Abayo, I know how Somalis face discrimination. While those who look just like Somalis Eritreans and Ethiopians, dont get the same hate.

True. Like im happy Eritreans are being more recognised now but I noticed sadly many weirdo ajanabis like to use anything Eritrean related to bring us down and get us divided more than ever. They want to alienate Somalis from other East Africans which I have noticed. But it doesn't help having trolls and self deprecating somalis amongst us amplifying the hate to no bounds. Now we breaded random ajanabis to make a mockery out of us and it goes super viral. It's very difficult with this new age social media and reels to stop the hate. I can only pray to God this all end soon and both Somalis and Eritreans can bond in peace in social media without outsiders interfering. I noticed before 2023 both Habeshas and Somalis were getting along on tiktok and twitter bonding and uplifting each other, sadly I don't see that due to the intense hate.

There are lost Somali tribes in Eritrea, Majerteen, Warsangeli included, never came back. So, there is that. There are also some Cushitic groups among them that resemble us more than others.

I would say yes but at the same time we dont. I can tell the difference usually through their eyes and lips which gives me away they're Habesha but I also noticed a lot of ajanabis these days can also tell the difference but I think it's not really genuine but out of hate when they say Somalis and Eritreans don't look nothing like each other. I mean we might not look the same but we do look similaor since they share the same phenotype as us.

Xalimo and Eritrea girls look alike and I can’t tell the difference but farax and Eritrean men looks different and easily spot.
