Don't talk ill of other people's features that Allah has given them, not all Somalis have typical almond eye shapes, I've seen hooded almost monolid eye shapes within our community usually amongst men, and women tend to have the larger rounded eye Habesha look.He literally has the bug eyes commonly associated with Habesha features.
I know but I find it weird ajanabis can tell the difference which I don't believe. We look similar but not the same. As a Somali, it’s very easy to detect when someone is Eri or Ethiopian but every now and then, you see some who look very Somali and you see Somalis that look very Eri/Ethio.
For some reason every Eritrean loves to tell me I look them. However my build and height is a sure giveraway of being Somali. I feel their women a lot more petite than ours.
Hijab is usually the giveaway. Hijabi Eritreans talk about how they’re always mistaken for Somali.I know but I find it weird ajanabis can tell the difference which I don't believe.
yeah they can't escape from being mistaken for a somali. I wonder how they feel about it. Some Eritreans are with being mistaken for a Somali but a lot feel some type of way.Hijab is usually the giveaway. Hijabi Eritreans talk about how they’re always mistaken for Somali.
I agree. But there are no tigrayans in Eritrea.eritreans look similar to somalis than ethiopians, it’s only eritrean tigrayans that are not similar at all
Nah we still look similair especially towards outsiders. Although most of us Somalis can tell apart. There can be instances where the two can be confused for one on other since we're both Horners but I wouldn't say we look a like. We each have our own distinct features.
To outsiders, of course, but even then, some people that live in cities with a considerable population of these two groups, like say, London, can also tell the difference.Nah we still look similair especially towards outsiders. Although most of us Somalis can tell apart.
Why do they dislike the ones in Ethiopia? I always see them distancing themselves from the Ethiopian ones while the latter will claim they're the same people. Funny beef.I agree. But there are no tigrayans in Eritrea.
they are called Kebessa or Eritrean ‘Tigrinya’
Nah ajanabis can't tell most of the time even in London. When they supposedly say "Eritreans don't look like somalis" they don't say it with Sincerity they say it to make Eritreans superior and Somalis as inferior. @EritreanPost_ should know what I mean especially living in London. A lot of ajanabis like to put Eritreans in a pedestal and put Somalis down.To outsiders, of course, but even then, some people that live in cities with a considerable population of these two groups, like say, London, can also tell the difference.
You're telling me a Jamaican can't tell the difference. I agree though there is some overlap since we're both Horners.

Nah I think it's all in your head, especially that last line, at least not in real life. Maybe your talking about internet trolls.Nah ajanabis can't tell most of the time even in London. It's both online and offline. It's hard to believe but I kind of experienced it in real life. And from what i seen is always a certain demographic in the uk. Even now timojileec girls are joining in putting Eritreans up and putting Somalis down. It's weird considering we look so similar and they know it.Nah I think it's all in your head, especially that last line, at least not in real life. Maybe your talking about internet trolls.
Don't give your energy to stuff like that, smile and move on.It's both online and offline. It's hard to believe but I kind of experienced it in real life. Abayo, I know how Somalis face discrimination. While those who look just like Somalis Eritreans and Ethiopians, dont get the same hate.Nah ajanabis can't tell most of the time even in London. True. Like im happy Eritreans are being more recognised now but I noticed sadly many weirdo ajanabis like to use anything Eritrean related to bring us down and get us divided more than ever. They want to alienate Somalis from other East Africans which I have noticed. But it doesn't help having trolls and self deprecating somalis amongst us amplifying the hate to no bounds. Now we breaded random ajanabis to make a mockery out of us and it goes super viral. It's very difficult with this new age social media and reels to stop the hate. I can only pray to God this all end soon and both Somalis and Eritreans can bond in peace in social media without outsiders interfering. I noticed before 2023 both Habeshas and Somalis were getting along on tiktok and twitter bonding and uplifting each other, sadly I don't see that due to the intense hate.Abayo, I know how Somalis face discrimination. While those who look just like Somalis Eritreans and Ethiopians. Don’t get the same hate.
Somalis Beeing black and Muslim from a country which has historically bad relations with western countries, makes Somalis face more discrimination
but the trolls like @mosthatedsomali and others they pave way for Somali hate for embarrassing Somali ppl online especially women and generalizing Somali youth in America (minessota)
one need to mass report the most hated Somali twitter account
Xalimo and Eritrea girls look alike and I can’t tell the difference but farax and Eritrean men looks different and easily spot.I would say yes but at the same time we dont. I can tell the difference usually through their eyes and lips which gives me away they're Habesha but I also noticed a lot of ajanabis these days can also tell the difference but I think it's not really genuine but out of hate when they say Somalis and Eritreans don't look nothing like each other. I mean we might not look the same but we do look similaor since they share the same phenotype as us.
