Yh I eat with my hands. See me I come from very Somali household. When I was 6 my uncle -not much older than me- came to live with us (from Somalia). We learn everything from him and he didn’t like eating with cutlery so I always attempted to copy him. See I admired him. It stuck I guess.

Waa la iska boobaa camal. Wallahi they used to starve me a lot when they had me share Qado with older guys at my Ayeeyo's house. They would bring the hot Bariis and in less than 5 minutes, the whole plate is sparkling clean. If I took three times from the plate before it was over, it was a good day. I burned my esophagus few times eating lunch with the guys like that. Was trying to skip chewing the hot bariis so i could take some more from the plate.

I ate with my hands couple of days ago at my friend’s house, I didn’t want to be the only one eating with utensils, somehow the food tasted better, I need to start eating with my hands more, I just hate how messy it looks when you eat with your hands
