Does speaking Somali bring out a different part of your personality?

I’ve seen this post of a Russian woman talking about how she is a lot more ‘bubbly’ when she speaks English, it supposedly brings out a different part of her personality which she didn’t explore with Russian. Plenty of other bilingual Russian speakers were agreeing and others were sharing their own dynamic with the languages they speak. I thought she was playing into some trope of the cold Russian but apparently they also find it weird when people smile at each other 'without good reason to' so it might track.

Anywho... I was wondering if Somali speakers have a similar experience and if there maybe was even a general theme - that speaking Somali brings out a different part of your personality and if our language and/or culture encourages a certain way to communicate and carry yourself.

For those of you who have a somewhat good handle of Somali, do you notice a change in behaviour/attitudes when you speak Somali? Do you think the Somali language is more restrictive in expressing your thoughts or feelings? Is it the language you find easy to use when you are emotional? flirtatious?pensive? confrontational?

I'm trying to see something.

i feel like a more aggressive side of me
comes out when i speak somali.

I think it’s because the language is quite blunt and to the point

My voice gets deep in Af Somali, but its like the American boy voice disappeared and transformers to many voice.

I'm more playful when I speak Somali. I feel like it's a more playful, versatile and witty language than English. Germanics are generally a dry folk. The English are a more colorful subgroup amongst them but still generally dry. It's those northern climes, I think.

Single women who are fluent in Somali are not safe around me, I like to flirt with them and make them shy. But I never ask them where they live or their number🤷

I don't know but for the younger generation when they speak Somali it makes me happy, and I really enjoy the conversation.

For the seniors I usually listen and show respect.

I speak 3 languages fluently. When I speak Somali I'm extrovert, and very helpful to the people around me. But if I'm speaking English or Dutch I suddenly become introvert, sorry I'll not flirt or offer my help. I became Mr. Don't bother me!

So far, we got extraversion, straightforwardness, even aggression as some traits that come out when speaking Somali.
How much of the extraversion can be explained by just feeling more at home with other Somalis? As for the aggression, since a lot of us use Somali with family and other relatives, isn't it more likely you'll blow your lid with them?

These are more or less closer to the assumptions I had from personal experience, when I am in a confrontational mood suddenly the Somali words start pouring out from god knows where, its like only Somali words can express a certain anger/irritation.

Somali bringing out the more quiet side was an unexpected answer tbh @mubnub
