Our thread was about marriage and not just sexual attraction. Marriage has always been more than love but duty, hence men with pride would choose their own or marry for political Alliances. They’re not marrying a random unconnected white woman and giving her the First Lady title or worse crowning her. None of the empires you mentioned were doing that.
It isn’t clear cut as studies also show that men prefer mixed women over black or white. So there goes your argument. You can’t say that men prefer white women over their own women naturally. Preferring lighter women within their ethnic group is different to preferring women outside of it.
