There is no grey zone, Somalis need to pick a side. Either we push for further integration within the Arab League or choose to become a part of the EAC/East African Federation.

Somalia is too small and weak to stand on it's on two feet in this World, hence the need for the country to join a macro group/racial bloc & benefit from the perks of being a member.

I'd much rather eat a Ful dish than a fufu dish.

Especially in the 21st century, the idea of Caliphate will not be revived. Nationalism and Racial commonalities are more powerful as it’s always been.

Check out the recent racial tensions between Tunisian Arabs and Black African invaders. Many of those Black invaders are Muslims and yet they attack our fellow Arabs which sparked backlash from the Natives:

Baathism and arab nationalism have failed. They have never produced successful results. Meanwhile, the khilafa were the superpower of their respective times. Also, arabs do not see us as fellow arabs for the most part. Only some mistakenly do.
