I'd say this hyper puritan fixation on what people do in their spare time where you ask them to suppress their urges and deny them a healthy outlet is what leads to mental illness, especially rape. And that's well documented.

Similar to somalis a lot of Indians hopped on fitness culture recently and have started to diversify their interests. Lots of them are working out, getting into fashion and are overall fighting the "Indian geek stereotype".

You don't understand men or male psychology, but that is ok, you are not meant to.
Men do not "vent" to each other, unless they are very close buddies. Men come together for activities usually. Things like sports, business or it could be things like hiking/camping or religious events (think sufi gatherings like the Timoweyne back home).
The reason these young men are this way is due to the breakdown of healthy male oriented groups and activities. I promise you that it has nothing to do with venting or emotional oversharing.
Guess what men do, that don't have other men to talk to, about things that bother them emotionally/mentally? They wait until they find a woman, and then they unleash everything on her, via long monologues aka emotionally dumping. Years of bottled up ciil.

Those are the types of men that never had healthy role models or male orientated activities. There were things like rite of passage and expectations placed on young men early on.
Older wiser men would help them navigate the treacherous emotions and challenges faced by men time immemorial. This no longer exists, and men grow up in a feminine orientated environment while being treated harshly at the same time. It creates confusion, hostility and malaise.
