I detoxed from socials time ago and had the same realisation, been trying to tell some chronically online folks here but it's no use. Using a small forum hasn't been an issue for me. Twitter and the lot I just quit because i wrecked my perception of reality, literally got into arguments lasting days with nothing being achieved.I only used my phone for whatsapp/social media or somalispot, around a year ago i deleted all my social media and stopped lurking on somalispot, & preoccupied my time with different things & my mental health my was so much better, like i genuinely didn't realise how much social media addiction affected me mentally , i was always scrolling thru tik tok in my free time, i've ruined my 11 month streak by coming back on sspot tho, even made an account this time , i need to get off here again.

That's what want. 24 7 I've got music or something playing on my esrbuds. If I'm outside I got headphones or earbuds aswell. I need to cut technology to a minimum. Use It as a tool don't be a mindless consumer.Then your stuck with your thoughts if I donโt have my earphone blasting music
