"I didn't imagine that we would be rounded up and mistreated in our own country (Somalia) like the way they do to us in Kenya or in some other hostile foreign lands, but that happened to me and more than 500 other Somalis last night. You can't just break into people's homes in the middle of night, blindfold them and treat them badly like they are enemies caught in battle and release them after almost 6 hours of manhandling and abusing them. We were dehumanized, humiliated and treated like animals by our own army in the company of AMISOM and some other white soldiers I couldn't figure out which country they were from. The Worst part was when I saw some AMISOM soldiers taking pictures of us with their mobile phones and scorning and laughing at us while we were seated on the sand chest-naked as we were forced to remove our shirts..What kind of peace keeping is that?
If that was done under the guise of security, I don't think that it's a good idea to alienate the same people whose security they want to keep as per their claim.
It's really very painful to be a foreigner in your own country! "
