Ankara deal must be military in nature, and being cosigned by France. If France provides the hardware and technical assistance they can give reassurance to Egypt about how things will progress and say these are the guardrails. Obviously throw Egpyt some economic sweetners to help push the deal through.

Ethiopia will obviously have to deploy troops across a whole land corridor to protect their new base. Interesting. I wonder where HSM will choose, he will be using EDNF now to his advantage against his opponents if he has offered them a naval base.
