Yes they did. The Brits used to pay the Hashemites and the Al Saud's plenty of money to destabilize the empire. The Hashemites wanted a Pan Arabist empire but the Brits fucked them over and gave Saudi's the green light to invade the Hijaz from the Hashemites. Why do you think the Saudi's never claimed a Caliphate for themselves? Because the Brits didn't want it.No they weren’t
I thought this was straightforward history, the UK then shafted the hashemites and gave them Jordan and Iraq and then let saud take over the Hejaz.Yes they did. Emirates in the Arabian peninsula like Jabal Shammar were strong Ottoman allies.First thing that caused disintegration of the Ottoman Empire was nationalist Young Turks this sparked nationalist waves in other ethnic groups like some Arab groups. Arabs did not betray the Empire since many Arabs were still fighting on the Ottoman side. Arabs even participated in the Gallipoli Campaign which was decisive for the formation of a modern Turkish State.

The young Turks were Secular bastards who contributed to the Caliphate's destruction instead of impowering it. They deposed Sultan Abdulhamid and drove the Caliphate into war despite it being fragile. Whether it's the Arabs or Turks, there's people on both sides who contributed to it's destruction.Arabs are a large group of people. The Arabs of the peninsula definitely did help the Brits.
As for the ottomans, they were due to collapse since their power structures had decayed for a while and their viziers were corrupt. The young Turks finalized that attempted to become Europeans, but failed.

With an estimated 300,000 Arabs in the Ottoman forces in 1914, a third of the total men under arms, there were far more Arabs serving in the ranks of the Ottoman army than those who followed the banners of the Arab revolt, Goncu points out.
