This happened in the 90s when people were new arrivals to the country. Back then I would say 50% based on my observations iminka I don't know if they still do that. It was happening in Canada and my family came in 1988 when the bombings in Hargeisa happened. By the mid 90s going to weddings was all the rage every weekend and I remember my neighbors would get into fights and seeing the bac madow. I'd ask my mom what it was but she would tell me to shut up. :icon lol: I saw it on the riwayads (maybe it was qabyo) from the late 90s and apparently it was happening in Minnesota when the refugees were coming.

It's because they lived in government housing and the husband wasn't on the lease so they knew they could kick him out and he couldn't do anything about it. These women were slick.
