When/if robot wives become a thing nothing will change. ‘Weird’ men will still go for (and successfully get) normal women. Maybe a minority of bitter uglies will resort to a robowife though. That’s about it.
Reality is sex dolls are too much of a hassle for most and will continue to be unless a major change happens. But you need to understand that the worrying trend in the West is the opposite. Men are increasingly more lonely than women. It’s women that are shunning marriages and filing for divorce more. Not the other way around. The false narrative of women being desperate to marry and men wanting to continue their bachelor life is a lie. We see this in the rise of redpil and incels.
Also, one of the main reason of marriage is for children and a family no legacy. I think we downplay people’s need for emotional warmth and connection. Especially mens. Men don’t take care of each other the way women do. Example, if a woman isn’t well, her friend will happily cook and clean for her, or her sisters ect. But when men are weak and need someone to cook, clean and give them that emotional support and words of kindness and love, they exclusively get that from a woman. It’s why widowers fair worse than widows and why many do feel the need to marry in the very near future.

Maybe, but I did read somewhere that men rely a lot of the emotional labour of women as well. As do women as well in good marriages. So I don’t know if that will be enough as maids and prostitution have existed since time memorial and that has never stopped men from wanting to be in stable relationships with women. Like I said the humanity and love of a woman is what deep down most men seek. They know they can’t get that from a human prostitute, a maid or even a carer, why? No warmth. Yep, you’re right. @Javelin made a very good point I forget and I actual did read a very good article about how the rise in sex robots will increase female abuse as those men who are on the anti-social degenerate scale will feel even more entitled towards women and will abuse those robots and believe they can inflict the same harm on real women. I mistakenly thought that the weird strange types will be more attracted to a robot that does their every bidding and will hence leave real women alone, but they probably won’t even leave real women alone. I guess it's the loyalty and security aspect you can't get that in a maid or prostitutes. There is no fears when it comes to the robot when compared to the average woman. There is no possibility of disloyalty and cheating or anything negative. It isn’t clear cut. Women’s standards have changed and it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s higher. It’s just that many men don’t want to make the cut or can’t. Example, in the past women would be expected to be 100% provided for, but in some cultures might not be able to expect loyalty in return due to relying on their husbands. Women’s higher standards are more character based since let’s be real, take a look at American statistics. Most households are indeed joint. Women went from being provided for to know sharing costs with men whilst also being the main household caregiver. How have standards become higher?
