In this month of Ramadan, a time for self-reflection, I hope the message in this video resonates with some of you. Behaviors like 'fkd' have no place in our society; they are both disgusting and un-Islamic. The arrogance of some individuals in our community who believe they are superior to others is truly disheartening, even though, for some, it may be a coping mechanism. We are meant to correct the mistakes of previous generations, not to indulge in them. Tribalism is a grave sin in Islam and can even lead to a person leaving the deen unknowingly. We’re Muslim first before anything, prioritising the deen can easily fix a lot of our issues. Ramadan Mubarak everyone!

A grave sin in Islam is still a grave sin no matter the excuse. The solution is the deen. What reasons do people have in being tribalists? Elaborate. Because it sounds like you’re making excuses for something Allah forbid

I ask Allah the most high to purify tribalism from our hearts and unite us as brothers on islam. Wallahi tribalism is a evil disease that leads down a evil path. It can even lead to Kufr when you put your tribe over the religion over Islam.

May Allah protect us and also bless this sheikh with jannah for giving this speech. He is 100% right for saying tribalism has no benefit in the hereafter. If you die for it or fight for it you will enter hellfire.

I have even fell into tribalism before myself and ask Allah the most high in this month of Ramadan to forgive me. And anyone else who I may have harmed with my tribalism to forgive me as well.

It’s a disease, a cancer that needs to be eradicated. Even the normalisation of things like fkd is scary. As though cussing peoples lineages is somehow okay, when the prophet (scw) has stated you are not one of his people if you engage in these type of actions. May Allah bless you brother!
