So Palestine protests are stupid? Not comparing the two but it's mostly for moral support and for awareness of the cause which is relevant. Recognition comes from other countries.

According to an AP News report, on January 3, 2023, a Ugandan soldier serving as part of an African Union peacekeeping force in Somalia fatally shot three colleagues. All four soldiers were part of the force responsible for guarding the international airport in Mogadishu. The incident has raised questions about the soldier’s mental state, and Uganda’s army has initiated an inquiry to determine the cause of the shooting. The arrested soldier will face a military court martial upon being flown back to Uganda
