I also went! They guard the UN compound which is outside of the airport. They also guard parliament which is part of the key governing body of Xamar.

Ugandan troops play a crucial role in guarding the parliament in Mogadishu, Somalia. They are part of the United Nations Guard Unit (UNGU), which is responsible for protecting UN personnel, premises, and assets in the Somali capital. The UNGU ensures the safety of UN staff and infrastructure, including the parliament building. Their presence contributes significantly to maintaining security and stability in the region

But "I was there!!" Is not gonna change that fact.

I just providing sources showing that foreigners are in Xamar guarding the fragile government. I would say it is fair to say that is a form of occupation.

"This nigga needs to have his balls patted down by Babatunde the Burundian before he enters his own home and he wants to talk....." - Attash

There's a funny quote for ya.
Somali security forces took full security responsibilities over the presidential palace and the parliament in december of last year.
The mission known as ATMIS handed over security control of the State House – also known as Villa Somalia — where Somali President Mohammed Hassan Sheikh Mohamud resides and works. Additionally, troops turned over responsibilities of the parliament building, which is not far from the presidential palace.

but do they control Amhara region?
They neither control amhara nor tigray, tigray forces are demanding for utmost fulfillment of Pretoria agreement which involves elements abiy can't do jack about it like returning tigrayans to western tigray which is under amhara control, so they might chimp out again in the coming rainy season

Atmis don’t occupy Somalia they are peacekeepers Al shabab are still a big problem and pose a threat to all Somalis hat are you on about literally during my daily life in Xamar I don’t not see one single Peacekeeper at all there was guards everywhere but they were Somali
You arent reading what Yusuf wrote properly.

Hes right.

ATMIS (as of 2022) was a mandatory part of airport security. Thats not normal, and can adequately be called a form of occupation. There doesnt need to be a Uganda on each st corner for it to be a problem, we in effect cannot enter and leave our country without the blessing of ATMIS, and getting patted down by a J.

Youre talking about the streets of xamar, nobody outside of somali people gives a f*ck about the st of xamar. The international institutions are heavily secured by foreign forces

Man also siad the xabashi have died to save Somalia and the ppl would follow their army if they left.

Their getting desperate airing all kind of calaacal.

If you have free reign in your house, but gotta tap in with me to leave it, whos really in charge?

It makes more sense to attribute it as an occupation thats transitioning to soverignty, because thats why ATMIS entered in first place. Were still transitioning.

You do care, you just dont want it to be true. Its shitty and we should feel bad about it, Its not a personal thing that we should stick our heads in the sand about though

no I genuinely don’t care that much ATMIS are there for a reason there’s nothing to feel bad about Al Shabab exist the only thing the government should be focusing on is finishing them once and for all I don’t want to hear about another October 14th ever again

Less than 20 000 troops (all ATMIS countries, Eth included) are controlling more then 10 million people, don’t make me laugh. ATMIS is currently in KGS and JL, Ethiopia more in the former.

They are besieged by AS in KGS and JL and would lose in an open confrontation. Last time they decided to transport troops by land, they got smoked by AS.

Sheeko cusub. You guys know full well ATMIS is there as a last line of defense against AS and would be killed if AS fought them. Arsenal just doesn’t want to lead somalis, instead they are content stealing from and killing somalis.
