When I went to school back home it was run by this woman who was actually educated in teaching what not. Like she hired really good Somali teachers and like 2 non-somalis who could actually teach and give us good exams. Tell me my why present day my aunts and uncles decided to enrol their kids in some expensive school run by non-somalis who were from Kenya. Like the only reason they sent their kids there was because they said non-somalis were better at teaching English. And the funniest thing is their kids can't even speak english its gibberish and they are so behind in math whenever I would quiz them on the phone. I asked them why they didnt enrol them in my old school and they said that was for middle/low income people Lol.
That doesn't mean that some of the Somali schools were good. My parents knew the headmistress and how smart she was so thats why I got enrolled. I just feel bad for my cousins its like once the family gets rich they stop caring. But money can run out anytime you have to educate your kids.

My edo moved back to Hargeisa to teach English so not all Somali English teachers are lost causes lmao, she earns £1k a week as well
