Eritrea Is A Complete Shithole! Somalia Looks Like Heaven Compared To This Place!

Eritrea has never supported Al shabab, I'm from the south Somalia Gedo, I have first hand experience of Al shabab fighters that always cross from Ethiopia into south Somalia. The bigest Al shabab funders are the UAE camp and there Somali pupits such as the President of Djibouti Ismaciil Cumar Geele. Eritrea is the only friend that stood by Somalia the last 30 years, I'm so sad ๐Ÿ˜” to hear this slander against our Eritrean brothers from seprtatists.
They did support Al Shabaab until about 2017

Somalis supported Eritrea's Independence, Eritrea in return supported the ICU which is the closest Somalia ever been to bring back the government and state institutions. However after the Ethiopian invasion and the collapse of the ICU Eritrea's role has been incredibly destructive in Somalia. They supported Al Shabaab as a way to entrap TPLF into the Somali swamp. Basically they used Al Shabaab as a proxy to try and destabilize Ethiopia, irrespective of best interest of Somalia and it's people. Isias Afwerki have made it clear that Ethiopia's demise is more important to him than Somalia's recoveryุŒ basically throw Somalia under the bus to spite Ethiopia.
Haha too much Ethiopian propaganda here.

How did Eritrea support Al Shabab? The Obama administration and Ethiopia claimed that but the observers have stated from 2009-2018 that there were no evidences that Eritrea supported Al Shabab?

what were claims or evidences the US and Ethiopia used to back this? Because Eritrea hosted Ogaden National Front as Ethiopia backed Eritrean Proxies like Eritrean Islamic Jihad/Al Islah RSADO DMLk etc.

Because Eritrea allegedly supported the Somali gov under ICU and some of their former ministers fled to Eritrea and seeked asylum in Eritrea after the Ethiopian TPLF army took over Mogadishu in December 2006

but the evidences they used like the transaction from an Eritrean bank and a cargo plane from Kenya flying to Somalia wasnโ€™t credible enough.

Good article but you didnโ€™t provide any evidence when and what assistance Eritrea gave to Al Shabab.

These claims were made by Sahan group pro American pro Ethiopian neoconservative security think thank who supported the genocidal invasion on Somalia and Galbeed from 2006-2018.

Eritrea was the only country in east Africa who were against the invasion. Because we realized how it will drag somalia down. And because the Somali people supported our struggle.

So do you want to tell us that Eritrea funded al shabab when in 2006 ICU controlled Somalia and Al Shabab wasnโ€™t relevant force at that time? Do you want to tell us Eritrea supported Al Shabab because Ogaden National Front and the Somali gov had back up from Eritrea against the Ethiopia TPLF army or because of former Somali minister fleeing to Eritrea?

Give me a break

It was Matt Bryden from SAHAN GROUP, who is based in Nairobi and is also a spy for the UK's MI6 who made up the bogus charges that Eritrea was supporting Al-Shabaab. At that time, the TPLF govt led by Meles Zenawi was using him to spread lies against Eritrea as well. He was also the UN arms monitoring group on Somalia. This is how the bogus sanctions was imposed on Eritrea.

Later on, he was removed as the head of the UN monitoring group. He is still based in Nairobi and spreads his lies.

The west has been isolating Eritrea since they got their independence they also donโ€™t take aid or imf/world bank loans, the west has tried everything to bring Eritrea to its knees but Isaias the old men keeps outlasting most leaders in Africa.

He turned Eritrea into a shithole not everything is the wests fault bro. Enslaves, imprisons & tortured his own people. There is a reason why Eritrea has so many people trying to leave. 500,000 gone out of a population of only 3 million. Eritrea couldโ€™ve been so much more.

Al-Shabaab was a TPLF proxy when Meles Zenawi was in power in Ethiopia.

True independence comes with a price. It was the sanctions through the SWIFT banking system that the US and EU use to economically and financially suffocate Eritrea. Luckily, the SPFS and CHIPS are available to them and help Eritrea trade with China and Russia and other countries whose central banks are connected to these 2 financial systems outside of West's control.

Unlimited military service is problem. I wouldnโ€™t describe as slavery.

It should be 18 months like it was in the past. But what other option did Eritrea had when we were facing an abusive hostile neighbor like Ethiopia that outnumbers Eritrea 1:20, that waged wars for 6 decades on Eritrea, that violate Eritreaโ€˜s border, occupy Eritrean territory, shoot missiles at Eritrea, arms Eritrean proxy groups like Eritrean Islamic Jihad-Al islah RSADO etc

we have been through the 1998 border war. We defended our nation. But we know how a conventional war can be when your enemy is 20 times bigger. The threat that Ethiopia has been to Eritrea led to militarization and long term military service.

Only those who donโ€™t pass high school have to be rounded up in the military for indefinite time. The solution is military service should be 18 months, constitution etc.

but try to be in our shoes.

If you are against Eritrea. Youโ€™re literally a security threat for Somalia, theyโ€™re one of the only things standing between us and Ethiopia. Iโ€™ve heard enough damn oromo larper.

and thereโ€™s many Somali politicians who actually support AS, as well as UAE but never get scrutinized.

What you fail to understand is that propaganda is a multi pronged tool where you can kill several birds with one stone. The Eritrea and Somalia monitoring group was an american tool biased in favor of Ethio. So many false claims in that report that even Israel couldn't support it :deadrose:

The report also says Iran sought to trade arms for uranium from Somalia to further its nuclear ambitions, though it does not say whether Iran succeeded.
More than 700 Islamic militants from Somalia traveled to Lebanon in July to fight alongside Hezbollah in its war against Israel, a United Nations report says. The militia in Lebanon returned the favor by providing training and โ€” through its patrons Iran and Syria โ€” weapons to the Islamic alliance struggling for control of Somalia, it adds.
An official at the Israeli mission to the United Nations said he had not seen the report, and was not aware of any Somali fighters having taken part in the conflict with Hezbollah.

Iโ€™m at work right now but when I get off Iโ€™ll show all the wikileaks evidence of how Ethiopia has tried to hamstring Eritrea economically, diplomatically and militarily since its independence. Iโ€™ll also debunk the โ€œAl Shabaabโ€ lies.
