El Sisi asked the UN Security Council to intervene on the issue of the GERD. :ftw9nwa:

There is nothing they can do. I heard rumors that Turkey is seriously mulling stepping out in support of Ethiopia on this issue.

Looks like Egypt is digging itself deeper and deeper into the manure of its own creation.

@Abdi99

The GERD dam has some positive effects for Sudan.

1. It protects Sudan in the rainy season from floods and mudslides as the flow of Blue Nile will be controlled now.

2. It will give access to cheaper electricity for Sudan if the two countries sign an agreement on electrical power sharing.

3. Sudan can build its own dam downstream as justification for mitigating the GERD effect on its agriculture.

Exactly, Sudan has a good experience with one of Ethiopian Dams, Tekeze river. Since it came operational, it lowered the risk of flood and made sure a steady water flow with the effect of increased agriculture production for Sudan. Sudan knows very well GERD is a plus for Sudan.

They are confused and delusional. They claim a resource that is in another country as 100% theirs :ftw9nwa: and try to stop that country from using its own resources :ftw9nwa: Their stupidity has no limits. We will help them to come to reality by creating facts on the ground. That is the only medicine that would help heal Egypt's delusional disorder. :ftw9nwa:

El Sisi is saying Sirte is the red line for Egypt in Libya. :ftw9nwa:
I can't wait for these sandniggas to step inside Libya and get karbaashed by Erdogan.
They won't step into libya. Sisi will try to escalate the dam issue to save face and will lose either way.

Egypt cannot afford a large scale war. UAE are really screwing over average egyptians, they need to kick out their puppet sisi.

Egyptian army is involved in many businesses and as such turned into a major economic power. However their weapons and arms come mostly from abroad. Their economy is 3.5 times smaller that Turkey's. Egypt is also dependent on international financial institutions like the World Bank and the IMF.

You are right Egypt can not afford a large scale war. Besides, their army has no real combat experience.

Egypt is no match to Turkey industrially, economically and militarily.

El Sisi himself is a puppet. Egyptians won't die for him.

To compare, Egyptian soldiers are far far below the Lebanese Shia Hezbollah fighters in spirit and resolve. And we know how efficiently Turkey killed the latter in Syria that even Israel is studying it.

My bet Egyptian soldiers will run for their lives the moment they encounter resistance in Libya.

Modern Arabs make bad soldiers. For example, Haftar's Tripoli gains were secured and kept by the Russian Wagner mercenaries. The moment they withdrew, Haftar's LNA lost ground gained in several years of fighting within hours.

Ethiopia and Sudan have become Stratigic Friends ever since the fall of Mengistu.

They have been having close Political and Economic cooperation for a while. meanwhile Sudan and Egypt relations have deteriorating for many years, because of Egypt's
annexation of Sudanese land.

Admin, please, remove the Misleading label from this thread.

So much for these "fake news" shouters here who don't know a lick about what is going on in the region.

Sudan acknowledged that the Ethiopian army crossed the border into Sudan's Gadaref Regional State and was successfully driven out after heavy clashes.

This happened while Abiy was holding a meeting with his military commanders about creating a new defense strategy for Ethiopia.

The incursion was a message to Sudan to not side with Egypt if the latter resorts to the military offensive against Ethiopia. Egypt has already hinted that diplomatic means are fading away.

It is worth noting that Sudan is on the verge of economical collapse at the moment and the IMF is trying to come up with a plan to shore it up.
