I’m pretty sure the only thing Ethiopia will export from berbera will be gas or oil, as those goods produced near by are the only ones that make sense logistically

I just hope the shacab of k5 make sure they demand the fair cut of their inheritance, as dividends, stocks, and investment in their infrastructure

answer to this could be domestic consumption w manufactured petrochemical products such as nitrogen /ammonia fertilizer and other industrial chemicals for inland exports — also this way local entrepreneurs (if they aren’t subdued by the state) could benefit from the proximity of this gas production

also gulf countries who are already in the petrochemical manufacturing industries could invest or be a model — SABIC is one of the largest chemical companies in the world
