Abiy is going for Eritrea not us. I’m not worried about Ethiopia “going” for the Red Sea. It’s just a ploy make people forget everything going on in Amhara/Oromo regions and all that chaos and fighting there. If Somalia gets its Arms Embargo off at the end of the year and builds up its weapons, we should be able to push them back.

Wouldn't want Eritrea to fall to Ethiopia, they've been the only nation in the Horn wanting us to get back on our feet.

We need a Red Sea alliance at the gate of the Bab el mandeb with Somalia, Djibouti, Eritrea and maybe Yemen too to control and use it against our neighbors. We can make countries like Ethiopia completely reliant on us for trade and also Kenya too considering they lost the ICJ maritime border case and have to go through our sea for trade.

Nah, Italians landed in Assab first when they were establishing Italian Eritrea. Assab was under the control of the Aussa Sultanate at the time (independent of Ethiopia). The port was sold by the local Sultan. Ethiopia never actually had a coastline until Eritrea was was federated with them post WW2.
