The US would like to maintain the status as that's the best case for their interests but they are not involved in the MoU, it's negotiation or it's conclusion. They are involved in your business of ATMIS, AUSSOM or whatever. At the end of the day they aren't really doing much to get in the way of the MoU because it's just good business all round and in no a way a security threat.

They didn't say anything until the screams from Mogadishu became too loud to ignore, even the UK did the same until you called them in and tried to brief them. No one gave a shit.

Mogadishu just needs to stop the screaming and propaganda and face the music.
