I've flown with Ethiopian Airlines before. No complaints at all. Good service and the stewardesses were cute. 8/10 would fly again.

Airline alliances are meant for code sharing and making it easier to connect with another flight with a different airline.

It's not meant to share napkins that belong to different airlines. No other airline does this.

It's a good airline though

You can actually brand-share too, you've probably seen it with airline liveries. And the fact that the napkins happened to be of an airline in the same alliance, it does make it possible. I've never seen it however, and it's not the smartest move. They wouldn't risk it if it was legally wrong.

Is it busy, the London Addis route is a headache.

The plane was pretty much full, at least leaving Toronto it was. On the way back it was a bit more empty. But they never really had problems dealing with all the people. The service was really good.
