Stop lying to the man. The region is called Ogaden and that has been its historical name since the 50s. It has nothing to do with clan. There is the Ogaden desert Ogaden river basin and the Ogaden war.

The Ogaden was only one part of the region. There's also the Haud.

Btw whatever happened to Somali Galbeed? That is the correct term for the area if you're pro-Somaliweyn.

Yeah the correct word was always Western Somali. "Ogaden" name for the whole region was mostly used by westerners. Plus 77 war needed a catchy name so ever since then the name stuck. They even named a desert/plain and a river basin after it
