Actually both the shabelle and the juba river expected to flood

Laakin it’s retarded to rely on a river a ls water source, literally most of Somalis water is underground (well)

This problem will continue to exist regardless of how many wells we drain.

We need to focus on building an economy that could afford to use desalinated water for day to day use.

Somalia is only a couple hundred kilometers wide so piping the fresh water to inland towns shouldn't be that expensive.

Pulling water from aquifers would only end up increasing the salt levels in our soil and further turn our country into a desert.
We are larger than south korea in terms of land, the country is beautiful but the people are stubborn. If smaller countries could develop, then there's no doubt we could to especially with our untapped resources. We just need wise leaders to implement proper use of funding and less corruption.

Great news but our underground water tends to have high salinity.

Should be possible to find fresh water but it won't help with agriculture and livestock.

It also costs more per m^2 than pumping surface water to towns.

We need long-term options but the cheapest would be to get people to move to water rich regions.

It's not just corrupt leaders that are in the way of development.

It's also the foreign countries who keep putting these corrupt leaders in charge of Somalia.
