We are larger than south korea in terms of land, the country is beautiful but the people are stubborn. If smaller countries could develop, then there's no doubt we could to especially with our untapped resources.We just need wise leaders to implement proper use of funding and less corruption.This problem will continue to exist regardless of how many wells we drain.
We need to focus on building an economy that could afford to use desalinated water for day to day use.
Somalia is only a couple hundred kilometers wide so piping the fresh water to inland towns shouldn't be that expensive.
Pulling water from aquifers would only end up increasing the salt levels in our soil and further turn our country into a desert.
some of the ppl here that say a lot of crazy shit about us have lost family members during the war, its expected of them to feel a certain way .
