I highly doubt that. There’s only one district in Galmudug that’s not in the government’s hands. They’re most certainly heading to KG and JL.

That depends on if the government regains the momentum in Middle Shabelle. So far there has been complications with some bases being attacked. Ethiopia will enter Hiiraan region which borders Galgadud from Qurac Joome Bakool to Buqaqable. They will not face any stiff resistance from direct border regions. But in Middle Juba which is heavily forested and Swampy if they don’t have any support from the local Ogadens and JL administration they will be massacred in the jungle! Ethiopia’s armies is conventional. What happens when their tanks and armored vehicles get stuck in the Dhiiqo during rainy seasons! That’s a killing ground right there. Especially in a region with zero road network in place. The only roads are dirt paths filled with Miino.

The frontline states troops that are being deployed will take part of the upcoming 2nd phase operations but they’ll be more so used as holding force or rearguard. JL and KG states forces + national troops will take lead. As for GM and HS, outside of an assault on Ceelbuur (town) there’s little to no use for Ethiopian forces in Galgaduud and Middle Shabelle. Al-shabab are hiding out in the countryside and it’s gonna take a local approach to weed them out.

Also some of the new troops that are being trained in Egypt and Ethiopia are probably going to be deployed in Galgaduud to open/reinforce Wabxo front and Middle Shabelle.
