Ethiopian troops everywhere in somalia

Their presence and AMISOM/ATMIS in general is the major reason why Al-Shabab gets recruits. It may not seem like it, but the average Somali in koonfur hates African troops viewing them as gaal invaders. Al-Shabab uses that frustration to maintain power among other reasons.
I don't think hsm should have bad ties with ethiopia if that's the case. Making deals with egypt is only going to make abiy want to fragment somalia more. If ethiopia can cause so much damage just because they don't want a strong somalia imagine what they'll do if they have cause lol. Hsm should coasy up to abiy.

You are overestimating Ethiopia's power and influence. They can't do anything about Somalia making deals with Egypt or anyone else since they are poor and inept. The aforementioned Ethiopian troops in Somalia aren't even controlled by Abiy, they get their pay from the UN/U.S.

The only reason why Ethiopia seems powerful is because Somali politicians straight up allow Ethiopia to do whatever they want. The Farmaajo era was even worse in this regard.

I got it. I thought ethiopia was one of the factors for why somalia is the way it is. If it's just the politicians that can work itself out with reform.

The issue with Somalia is not an issue with lack of weapons, troops and fighting spirit, the root cause of our problem is lack of unity, trust issues and a people who are divided and fragmented with no leadership who are capable of uniting us.. I can tell you the key to our success as people and nation is unity that combined with a good smart leadership who the people are happy with and trust, but we have a better chance of winning the lottery than this actually happening in our lifetime or even after our lifetime.

We have people who believed tribilism until that gets sorted it will be hard.

I believe without any outside interference the somali issue would eventually settle itself likely after initial protracted battles but ultimately we their will be a winner emerging from these battles. Whether clan alliances or Islamic oriented regimes is another matter.

The president’s unwillingness to act can only mean he’s a traitor, don’t mistake his fake political stunt in KGS for “kicking them out”. He signed this in 2023, so he’s working for abiy’s interests too behind the scenes, like he did for zenawi as his lapdog during his previous term.
