Ethiopians always asking

So they say the African population of Minnesota is majority Somali I don’t believe that. I see the same numbers of Ethiopians in this state. They always are asking Somalis if they are Somali and if they can speak Amharic yet will be highly offended if you ask them if they are Amhara, Tigray, Oromo because they want to hide that fact. So is it stupid of me to be suspicious whenever they ask this?

Ive been to Minnesota plenty times I will say that most Africans are either Somali Liberian or Ethiopians Somalis are definitely the largest group though

Prominence is probably why. Somalis are very present at every level in Minnesota good or bad, plus we have crazy hypervisibility.
