Nobody In Sweden or any Scandinavian country imitate British accents they're more likely using it as a cover to hide where they from besides that roadman talk is ugly

I agree it’s ugly so tell your people to stop imitating it cause wallahi go to any Somali clubhouse room, and when a Dutch or Swedish person speaks, most of their slang is British roadman stuff 😭

UK accent and slang is different there is high class and ghetto accent so either way it still the traditional English.

If they know those slang words than they're more likely been living in the UK I know bunch that lived in sweden ,netherlands than they moved to the UK

Yes, but you can still hear I am not one. I sound more like Americans than like British people.

Unless raised in the UK or having gone extensive dialect classes in the British accent its nearly impossible to have. Even the most skilled actors struggle to do it let alone the average Joe doing ESOL lessons. :samwelcome:

Is queens English posh? What do u call the ghetto London one i see mostly non caddaans speak like?

Nobody is posher then the Queen and she's literally the one person that speaks that way. The Ghetto London is just that lol but I've met people that live in suburbs and the countryside that have the roadman talk.

The American English accent also developed from all kinds of different types of Europeans learning English in the 1700s, 1800s etc.

So even if Germanic speaking Europeans like the Swedes, Dutch, Germans etc don't try to fake any English accent, naturally it will sound closer to the American one because there is phonetic influence from Europe (excl. UK) in American English and less so in British English which developed completely on its own in England.

Ive noticed that most non-north American English speakers usually have a hint of an American accent, it they sound full blown American, not British. But i was told that it’s cause they consume mostly American media, and their schools have American teachers if it’s international, so their daily intake of English is usually through American accent and not British

Nice joke, American accent sounds more feminine, high pitched and drag everything out :childplease:
That's the south those weird niggas but I genuinely hate the UK accent one of my biggest hate

I think the ones the OP met have been talking a lot with their relatives from London or something.

The ones who don't and/or who don't travel much to London/England do not use British accents at all.

I heard Europeans, like most of the world are taught using British English though.

Maybe they have some American influence from media but that's it.

Almost nobody actually learns English from school. The way they teach foreign languages is atrocious. Most people learn it on their own from movies, TV series/Netflix, games, books, podcasts, YouTube etc.
