Didn't read the whole thing but this paragraph shows the line the EU tramps are trying to push.
They are worried about the security situation in Somalia and trying to push Khatumo as a wedge issue. Lame EU tramps. Inventing fictional states in Somaliland is a pathetic low for these beggars.

Then you got a problem as your whole premise is undone here. Khatumo sits on almost 1/2 of "your" territory and it's as real as your secession.
In a world where you may get recognition, what borders are they suppose to recognise here? Or are you of the opinion once you get recognition the "state" has to enforce their territorial integrity by any means necessary?

There's no Khaumto that controls a third of Somaliland even there' some small Puntland incursion and Lascaanood militias. Not a major factor when considering Somaliland.

At this point everyone is just going through the motions, Africans sitting in bases, Somalian politicians looting resources. That's the reality.
Like I said it's institutionalized thinking at this point. Every new mission is a new dawn. Status quo continues and resources are consumed. This benefits certain groups in Somalia a lot.
The reality is it's neither a dawn or doom. Life will go on either way.
