I'm talking about the whole country. I just used this as an example. There is like two hotels in all of Borama, from what i can tell. It's not that deep.

If you've been to SL/somalia, you'll see poor somali locals living in metal informal houses. It looks like thisThis is what I'm talking about! Even if it's foreign investment, it'd be nice to see things aimed at the locals. Hotels aren't doing as much for the people (Though they provide jobs at the very least). Inshallah your plans are fruitful.
What did you mean by Shanty Town locals? I'm afraid I don't understand. Sorry
There are lots of low IQ Somalispotters who donβt realize that what is invested once can be reinvested- money is fungible and the profits can go into other stuff. There is nothing predatory about it , it's aimed at boosting local economy.
And they do invest in many different industries like i have shown with a tech sector and infrastracture projects. But to do that you need to pull in capital.
Thats why these types of businesses are helpful because Somalis can finance expensive industrial and infrastructure projects in the long term using PPP- Private public partnerships.
There are not even 300k Oromos in all of Somalia. That's a big difference? Where did you get this number?
Bosaso has a lot of yemeni/oromo migrants right? Is it them boosting the numbers? 300k sounds like a lot though and you'd think someone would start registering them.
Those are called Labo Deryaals, people who are nomads build aqals in the city while they are trading. Even if you gave them a stone house they would not stay in it except for the trading season. If you've been to SL/somalia, you'll see poor somali locals living in metal informal houses. It's very vulnerable to flooding, pest infestations etc. I feel awful walahi when I see these, not because I look down on these people (it's admirable to being to withhold hardship) but that I know we can provide better.
I wanna create a real estate company, buy some government contracts and employ local somalis whe building social housing.
Interesting. But I'm more so talking about permanent residents who live in these tin metal houses if that Makes sense. I see them living on the sides or opposite big houses. This is just the closest I could find. Those are called Labo Deryaals, people who are nomads build aqals in the city while they are trading.
