Somalis have an incredible appetite for milk. In 2014, milk production earned about $3.3 billion ($2.7 billion from camel milk) in profits from local sales.

The domestic dairy industry is higher than this now by a long shot. Probably in the many tens of billions. There is many dairy factories and many different dairy products being produced and sold locally nationwide.

But it goes to show what i said to @Aseer a little bit earlier. There is soo much economic growth both in business, development and industry but they either report outdated figures online as if Somalia has been stagnant or they miss out on it because it is informal.

This business directory has been big time help although its kinda incomplete.
