Islam is not feminist. Feminism is a western ideology meant to give women rights that devolved into misandry and fitnah. Islam gives men and women their rights and men and women both get certain rights the other doesn't have.

As for a universal right both genders have is a right to intimacy. In Islam if a spouse refuses intimacy for no reason and leaves their significant other without protection against zina they are cursed by the angels.

I am not saying a man can pin down his wife and do what he wants, thats abuse, however the reason this individual is targeting this more that regular rape is to destabilize the marital relations of somalia.

In the west the feminist movement also went ham trying to convince women men were always commiting some kind of crime that the populace became obsessed with it, thus ruining the family unit and ironically giving bad men more agency to abuse women and get away with it.

To summarize, Islam is not feminist, wives and husbands are owed intimacy, and the focus on marital rape rather than all kinds of rape is an attempt at destabilizing the family unit.

The fact that husband's have a right to intimacy, doesn't mean husband's can sexually abuse their wives. Ask yourself, why is that message so threatening to you and other men? How is that messags destabilizing the family unit? Surely man thinking they can treat women how they deem fit is what contributes to the breakdown of the family? The problem with many men is that they're concerned about the symptoms, than the actual causation. Gaslighting women into being quiet seems to be what a lot of men think is the solution, which is just going to push more women into feminism, because what is evident is the lack of mercy or simple compassion that many have.

The bit in bold is a lie and anyone who has a good grasp of history knows this. Pre-sufferagette West, men were without doubt able to socially and legally able to get away with abuse. By law a man had a right to beat his wife. Women had no rights to inherit property, vote, earn a living outside of a few low pay select jobs, have custody over their own children, divorce their husbands even when he is cheating or abusing her. They don't want to admit it, but men sexually abusing their wives is a non issue for them and it's something they think women shouldn't complain about. The issue is that the more women talk about certain issues, the more women will want accountability.
