HA did a very poor job creating these "institutions". Stop with the faan. I personally knew Ibrahim Maygaag and he had a very poor opinion of the failure Cigaal who could not achieve recognition for the HA project, which has only gotten much smaller in territory thanks to another weak HA leader.

This. Somalia and Somaliland only came to existence in the 20th century and are by no means successor states to Adal. Maybe if Somaliweyn was a thing it could be pushed as national history but as it stands it makes no sense to associate Adal solely with one Somali state. Djibouti and Puntland have about as much right to call themselves Adal as Somaliland lol
