This report states that 3000 mercenaries will be deployed to assist in combating Shabaab. The focus will be on the middle Jubba region.

Sadaat will operate outside the confines of international law giving them no restraints to carry out atrocities inside Somalia.

They have battle experience from fighting alongside HTS in Syria and have recently been reported to be in the Sahel region as well.
