She smart enough to take advantage of a market that has been open for business for so long. I don't see a problem. She found demand a took the opportunity that was there to be the supplier

Over and over again we see that there is demand for parts of are culture being sold by others instead of be a market player, we get mad for other for doing so. Why don't we fix this inefficiency? She prove her method works. Just copy it

No offence but you’re a man. Somali women have been selling baatis and diracs for years. We shouldn’t have to sell our cultural attire out to ajnabis for money when these freaks claim our culture and hate on us. They have no respect for us and we should create boundaries and gatekeep.

You’re just mad you have no cultural clothes of your own to gatekeep. Involving yourself in a conversation about cultural clothes you have no knowledge of is embarrassing. Keep cosplaying as Arab men

Baati and Dirac are two different cultural garments and they’re made up of different fabrics. A Dirac is not appropriate to wear at home and to bed like a baati. It’s see through and meant for special occasions like weddings.

While a baati is made out of cotton and is meant to be worn at home and to bed. It is for comfort.

They’re two different garments. I don’t care if one is a variant of another. No one would wear a Baati to a Somali wedding because that is embarrassing. Different garments worn for different occasions made of different fabrics.

These other african women are trying to appropriate our wedding attire while insulting our people and here you are coming to their defence like a coon. We as women need to gatekeep. You’re a man. Go somewhere else.
