I made some 2 or 3 really good friends in high school that I keep in touch with, rest are gone with the wind.

Also here in the UK we have 5 years of highschool (age 12 - 16), I'm not entirely sure but I think the US equivalent would be middle school (three years) and the first two years of highschool.
