From living in council estates to being middle class

After growing up in ghettos all my life Ive found myself in a lucrative career and can say I'm probably middle class. Now the question is why would I associate myself with lower class people. Any future children will be put into private school. All my recent relationships/situationships have been with middle class women.

Is it true once you move class you never go back?. I think so for the UK at least

The funny thing is that some of my Somali friends live in council housing and have free school meals while back home they have a mansion.

Hmm, I have been economically working class as the child of refugees. But, I have never been working class in the social sense of the word. My parents were successful people before the war, well educated, and ambitious. They enjoyed fine culture and high etiquette. So in that sense my social upbringing was different from that of my neighbors in the council house area I grew up.

Money means less to me than the persons social upbringing. I can get along great with a person whose well read and has good etiquette but ...works as a cleaner. Then I can a rich person whose ignorant and has no culture.

Most middle class families cannot afford private schools, more common amongst upper middle class. Middle class is average.

This! What would middle-class even mean in a place like London ( or any major city) where the cost of living is so expensive that a person who makes 100 K a year can still live in a working-class neighbourhood.

Middle class with 1 or 2 children can afford private school. This is why there’s low birth rate amongst natives in developed countries.

there is no point for private school if you go to school in a middle class neighbourhood and teach ur kids right

In my old primary school. Suddenly a lot of cadaan middle class students joined the lower years to get an experience but In secondary barely any cadaans go to it and all were working class.

Public school curriculum increasingly teaches Lgbt stuff, compared to private schools which are more religious/traditional.
