Future far right political parties in Somalia

All Somali political parties are by nature conservative, due to Somalis being a deeply religious and conservative people. And individual clans hold more power than entire political parties within the country.

But as the the country develops and power is centralized within the federal government, do you think the possibility of a far right populist political party taking power is likely?

What would such a party look like?

Far right populist nationalism needs an enemy to latch onto. In Europe it's immigrants, in America it's liberals(and also immigrants).

In Somalia it's very possible it could be either Oromos or ethnic minorities in the south that feel the brunt of this.

Somalis are not a people ready for parties and elections. Their votes will go to the candidate from their same tribe, no matter what he believes in.

Sadly yes, clans don't have an ideology. Many somalis unironically believe that voting for someone not based off how they'll run the country of benefit your life but because you share the same great x7 grandfather, is a smart decision to make, even though it destroys the country further down the road.

But that's today, I mean more so the far future, a possible future in which clans have little effect on politics.

I have no doubt that Somalis would vote in a far right party for sure. This is partly why the international community is satisfied with the status quo because it avert the possibility of a far right nationalist/ Islamist party. Somalis are extremist by nature.

That ship has sailed and the Tanzanian government has closed the door on any kind of resettlement. Somalis have to get used to Madowweyne.

I don't think Somalis will welcome Bantus in a future right wing state especially the northerners. Its probably safer to bring them back to their original homelands of Tanzania with reparations

Somalis are among the people most involved in illegal immigration. What if Bantu Kenyans say the same thing? All Somalis should be expelled from Nairobi, Garsa and Mombasa.

No, only Banadiris, Barawanis will stay as they’ve actually assimilated & look and speak somali. Many Somalis clans have married from them & vice Versa.

Bantu is not native to Somalia & so there’s no point of them staying in Somalia especially when they are from Tanzania and Southern Kenya. We cannot intermarry with them at all. It’s not worth it we will lose our Cushitic features.

It’s best to get rid of them before they become a problem.
