Garacad can export livestock but it's cheaper through Bosaso as has been analyzed by thegoodshepherd. Bosaso is a shorter distance to the gulf and livestock requires less feed during voyage. I used to engage in significant FKD battles where I presented official UN data showing Bosaso was exporting more livestock than Berbera, this will certainly now happen again.

With the rapid port expansion and the availability of larger and larger ships to transport animals this trend will only increase.

Having 2 ports is always better but 1 thing it does do is share the livestock. So Berbera should do better numbers than both individually.
