Usually there is private /family sections , which is good thing .
This is the 2nd timeDo you have personal beef with reer UK restaurants? Why are you always talking about them![]()
There are women's "only" cafes but actual gender segregation is not as widespread as south asians are. Those people sometimes sound like they're scared of the opposite sex. I'm also seeing this trend of younger Somalis picking up this habit from them, telling Somalis that out gender integration is haram etc. The care free way older Somalis talk to each other regardless of gender seems to be dyingYou don't have permission to view the spoiler content. I saw a women’s cafe in Garowe once years ago. Smart business model.

Imagine a group of young girls sitting next to a bunch of uptis talking loudly about qabiil and politicsbecause somali men tend to hang out at cafes in large groups without their families, and they make it intimidating for female customers. Has anyone ever walked through the male dominated cafés? it's like you walked into the shark enclosure![]()
My only reference is online too. I don't like scrolling through Somali tags online rhoughz I always end up seeing the most insane 30 second clip that makes me question life.Nah, it's an option in some places but it's very normal for restaurants to be mixed even back home from vids I've seen
I keep hearing about a women's section, or segregated seating in some UK Somali Maqayads on tiktok. Is this true? And is it common in Somalia too?

What is Qaladized? Qalad as in wrong?Somali houses traditionally had separate living rooms for men and women, and more well-off houses had separate kitchens too. If I go to a restaurant with no gender separation or couples section I assume it’s automatically qaladized food.
