You obviously have not read my previous posts. If you did, you would know I am not pro-Ethiopia. I literally lived in Xamar during the Ethiopian invasion in 2006, and I detailed how my qabil fought fiercely against the Habasha invaders. I have condemned Ethiopia on numerous occasions.

i know there has been some beef between Djibouti and Eritrea. Yeah over man made border. As our countries were colonized the French and Italians.
But our ppl never hated each other. Djibouti and Eritrea have much in common. We were part of Puntland, we among the first countries to adopt Islam, we have tribes living in both countries, both Eritrea and Djibouti are Redsea nations, we control the Balb El mandeb strait.
But the tensions were fueled by Ethiopia. After the Ethiopians went to war with Eritrea in 1998-2000, Ethiopia boycotted Eritrea’s ports and switched to Djibouti.
ethiopia also imported its weaponry for the war through there.
then after the 1998-2000 war Eritrea and Djibouti had tensions.
In 2018 President of Eritrea and Djibouti met with each other, which was very good.
Now after the Ethiopian PM openly spoke about annexing territory or ether Eritrea Djibouti or Somalia many of our Djibouti brothers understand how unpredictable Ethiopia is and why we Eritreans had so many tensions with Ethiopia.
Many Djiboutians openly showed respect to Eritrea and said Eritrea is self reliant country, they defended their nation against Ethiopia. And they even spoke out for good and friendly relations with Eritrea.
I have many followers on my Twitter channel who are from Djibouti and I follow them as well (journalists, activists, news medias). We never were enemies.
When the Ethiopian PM made that speech, Eritrea was the first country to call Ethiopia out followed by Somalia and Djibouti, then you see even Somali and Djibouti activists openly calling Ethiopia even tough Djibouti and Ethiopia were good in the past.
thats shows that Eritrea and Djibouti were never enemies. But there is a big landlocked country that want to cause wars with neighboring countries and drag all neighboring countries in it.
Djibouti Eritrea and Somali are countries that share history. And we will have a better future together.
