hello somalispot. i wanted to raise awarness of a campagin to get our rightful awdal region back.

Its time our cousins in Awdal, rejoin their brothers in recreating the great Adal empire. At least they wlll then get out of that 30 year old ghost state.

It always annoyed me how European countries are easily allowed to secede but Somaliland has the door shut on their face.

Can you imagine just a year ago Scotland could have broken off from the UK whilst Somaliland has requested recognition for 25 years.

I just think Somalis need to grow a backbone. its fucking embarrassing that Turks and IGAD are needed to bring leaders from both sides together. We should say f*ck them and bring the heads of the lands under one tree. The old School Somali way. Either give these Northerners the papers as a gesture of goodwill or agree to a rectified unification.

Djibouti's growing importance due to the multi national bases located there means any afar threat will be easily squashed with the aid of the west. Even in the early 1990s when they tried to rebel they were defeated with the assistance of France so no need to worry plus Somalis outnumber them anyways.

If the mogadishu gov agreed to a referendum, the ic would not oppose it or the outcome. The problem is the mogadishu gov, it's not that deep for anyone else.
& if somaliland is a pipe dream, I don't know what to call a 'greater djibouti'. Djibouti's purpose in existing is to serve as a city state for the french, don't get carried away.
