But diraac doesn't have a shape to it. It makes the fat xalimos fatter and stumpy and eats up the skinny xaliimos. Guntiino has a shape to it, fat xaliimos can wear a shawl or gabsaar around their shoulders and they will look good.

If you wear it properly, it can make any xaliimo look qurux. There is an art to it. The cut, the design, the way you hold the extra material, sintaa meesha ka galisid the extra material. Sidaa uu laafiyootid, with hal gacan waving back n forth on your side lol. But I do agree some women do let themselves go and the dirac provides a cover. I'm not a big fan of the bac weyne either. And funnily, the guntiino has been the staple dress for Somali ladies traditionally but it is a bit too revealing and it doesn't suit everyone. Guntiino will look hideous on a fat and short xaliimo, nothing can make it look good. Trust me, waan arkay. If she has hilib she needs to step away from the guntiino and if she is gaabeey.
